Ok, I am writing a new song with my band, it is in the simplest description, a Symphonic Black/Death Metal band... But anyways, we are starting to take a new direction, and I have become more integrated in the writing process, so I want to get as much advice and as many tools as possible for our new batch of songs.
I am having issues with the flow/structure of a song.. does anyone have any advice on some sort of "frame" for me to use to build the music too? So far we have almost no parts that ever repeat, the song mostly is constantly progressing, but I agree with another band member that we need maybe a chorus or something, some catchy part that repeats, something more structured.
does anyone have any suggestions on how to transition from one riff to another, when they dont really share any similarities (just same key)
I dont really know how to ask for what I want so this might sound confusing...

if nothing else please provide me with some feedback/constructive critisizm.. BTW, if you do not like the vocals, that is our last Singer, and it was recorded (in my bedroom) before he dramatically switched his singing style, but anyways...
