I figured that this would be the best place to see how I could fix my bass guitar. I was having problems with my knobs a while ago (its a 100$ bass) because they would never stop, they would just keep twisting. I lent the bass to a friend and when I got it back, I found that it wouldn't play. I opened up the back and found that 2 of 3 wires (There was one white-broken- one and two black ones-one broken-) were severed from the twisting of the volume knob and 1 of 2 (one red and one severed white one) wires were severed from the twisting of the tone knob. I'll try to get pictures up soon. I need direction on the best way to reattatch the wires and where I should. Thanks for all your help in advance

If you have no idea how to solder or where to attach the wires take it to a store and have it done, it should be cheap. My friend had his bass rewired and it cost him $20AUD.

First I think you should see why the pots kept turning. They most likely came unscrewed and the whole pot was simply turning. So I'd re-attach those...

To help you wire the bass back together I think you'd have to tell us how many pickups the bass has, what kind of pickup selector switch is there, and how many volume/tone knobs it has.

Having a shop do it would be cheap too, might even be cheaper than buying a soldering iron...
