time to spice up my rg

well since im getting a new guitar im no longer afraid to touch my rg... decided its time to soup it up... im starting with a killswitch and dont really know where to go from there... im thinkin of maybe some build in effects and some e.q.... any site i can go to get into this stuff?

also i saw muse and the guitarist had this white scratchy pad on his tele... he scratched it with his pick and it made sweet noises... wat is this called and where can i get one...?

its an XY Pad and was hooked up to a Kaoss Pad 2 via a 13 pin cable to get that installed is a huge pain in the ***. also what RG do you have? and new pickups, tuners, paintjob, scallop the fretboard
