All I can say is that it was really good. The band was incredibly tight and balanced and Bonas singing and playing was simply stunning. You could tell they had fun on stage, and Bona seemed like a really nice guy when talking between the songs. The last song (before the extra numbers) suddenly erupted into a jam version of I Wish by Stevie Wonder. Simply astounding!

If you have a chance to see them and you like funky, dancable music with african influences, don't hesitate! This is something no bassist should miss!

(Also, here's a video of the last part of his bass solo. Couldn't get the camera out earlier since I didn't want to miss anything of it :thumb:. It's just his voice and his bass. Let's just say he's got a pretty good idea of what he's doing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_tdIP8ZLlA)

What's amazing is he's not even matching the pitches, he's harmonizing.

i dont see the point of doubling it up with voice unless you want to annoy the audience even more.

this guy's doing some sun-tzu ****. to completely bore an audience attack on both fronts.

I thought the solo was pretty cool. Although I watched some of his other bass solos and they were much better and very very good.

Theres definitely at least an octave effect on that, but his harmonization is spot on. I love his playing and his style - his music is a bit too musaky at times for me though. Still, being half-Cameroonian myself (my dad was born in Cameroon), I gots to give him the love that he so rightfully deserves.

What? It seemed to me the audience loved it.

Sounded to me like he was using a vocoder, much like the one that Oteil Burbridge uses.
