Sis just got back from the US, and brought me some stringss:

the warwicks and Hi-beams are 5-string sets, medium light and light gauge
(would have been happier with lo-riders but that's good too)
and the DR coated and d'addarios are 4 string sets, medium gauge

I'm still in the experimenting phase,
so far I know this:
my 'standard's are warwick reds
on my 4, i like mediums
on my 5, i like medium-lights, and lights

warwick black label aren't that good

elixirs are pretty much the best I've played so far but they're expensive as hell
can't wait to put on the DRs

Personally I prefer the black labels over the reds, but its all subjective.

What I prefer over all of them? The DR Highbeams :thumb:

I just realized the d'addarios are 50s...that sucks...i actualy like my Ds and Gs lighter than all...oh well, we'll see how they do

one of the reasons I hated the black labels is because they have an unnaturally short life, which is less than i expected for the price..not for me, but even though when I play with the band i sweat alot more, i still wipe my strings and they usually hold a nice twang for about 2-3 weeks
