I would say that an average of four a week would be good, for me anyways. How long does it take to go through four albums? Just send one after each mailing list, if there's a shortage of albums I'll upload more myself. I know it's hard to get a hold of old blues albums and as you move further back in time their ammount just gets smaller and smaller, so yeah don't send them all at once.

I guess there's an emphasis on older blues but hevy blues influence is welcomed. Spat Out Plath just sent me Izzy Stradlin's solo stuff.

Does anyone know of a filesharer that can send files larger than 100 MB for free? Ive got Jimi Hendrix - Blues, but the file size is 131 MB's.

I'd shrink it with an appropriate program if I had one (the songs are 256 kbps, makes more sense at 128).. which would be useful, because I also have Jimi and BB King at the Kings Jam that's worth sending out.

Its a heavier blues type album (post-war of course), but if everyone enjoys it, ill send out Freak Out Blues and Hendrix & BB King later on.

Really awesome stuff.. he plays an acoustic on a few songs, and Mitchell has one absolutely kick AS$ solo in one of them.

EDIT: Ooh, actually... ill send out Eric Clapton 'The Blues' next. Its even purer blues than that Hendrix. You guys might have a lot of these albums, but I really want to contribute somehow.

Yea I've got boxes full of them. About 99% of them are my dad's. So I've got like around 300 albums that are in the blues genre. I just picked that one today because it was near my computer. Tommorow I'll go digging through the boxes.:)

They're a calgary band that came around here for the annual blues brews and barbeques festival. And they were one of the most unique bands there. Going back to playing blues on acoustic instruments and it sounded so amazing that I bought both of their albums right there.

You're all going to love that Clapton - The Blues album.. much bluesier than 99% of anything he churned out before. It sounds almost like... pre-war blues in a modern atmosphere. My favorite blues album, all time.

What's an AAC file? I can't listen to any of the tracks on the Clapton album because they're all labelled as AAC.:confused:

It says they're winamp media files for me (?) Try downloading an audio converter. Or sometimes itunes will convert files to mp3 automatically when you play them and store them in its itunes folder. Or maybe if you're not using winamp get it.

Yeah I don't know if, other than Hear My Train, there is any straight blues acoustic from Hendrix. But I uploaded 168MB worth of bootleg recordings made in some apartment (I think) and elsewhere. It's electric but it's slow and chill and sounds like he's just playing for his own amusement, I think it's great.

Yeah I don't know if, other than Hear My Train, there is any straight blues acoustic from Hendrix. But I uploaded 168MB worth of bootleg recordings made in some apartment (I think) and elsewhere. It's electric but it's slow and chill and sounds like he's just playing for his own amusement, I think it's great.

Andyk .rar files are made with winrar but if you can find yourself a piece of software called "7Zip" that'll open most comrpessed formats and is very good

He was here and played, and his tourbus broke down. My dad is good friends with the person who owns the bar, and he fixed it the next week. Watermelon Slim stayed at my dad's house, and had all of his guitars and things, and he was cool. :]

The JLH is possibly my favorite live album, I can never decide between that and And This Is Maxwell Street Box Set with Robert Nighthawk. Crusade is right behind The Turning Point for Mayall's best. Mick Taylor (of Rolling Stones fame) plays out of his mind on it and proves to be one of the better blues players of his era.

Everyone should check out Robert Ward's Fear No Evil. He was the original guitarist for the Ohio Players and made his come back with it. Excellent soul-blues.
