I'm currently downloading it right now, so I wouldn't know what it sounds like but if it's anything like his previous releases it'll be great but it may turn out to be a complete flop....guess I'll find out in the next 5 minutes. Share your thoughts about DJ Shadow's eagerly awaited album here.

God, I hope it's good. :(

I'll be a good boy and wait till the release date, but I do want to hear this. It'll probably be good.

I only like Endtroducing, everything else he released is kind of weak IMO.

OK, I just listened to a really bad Rap song, changed it and now I have something that's closer to Coldplay than anything else.

Now I don't know what I'm hearing.....a bunch a voices.

Do you think it's the actual album?

I got it off the Indie mailing list (Niobium sent it) but I don't know where he got it from.

I don't know what to think anymore......this definitely not something I expected.

Could you forward the mailing list to me?

EDIT: Nevermind

I actually haven't heard much or any besides Endtroducing

In conclusion: There are a couple of really good songs here but there's more extremely bad Rap songs that are an embarrassment to everything he's accomplished. I have nothing against Rap and I'm all for respecting an artist that's trying to do something different but this type of Rap he's trying to pull here, isn't cutting it. This is a mediocre album that has left a bad taste in my mouth, which is quite unfortunate.

*puts Entroducing on a loop*

*chugs half a bottle of gin*

Schyma, what I meant was if you could send me the whole list, since I didn't get it for some weird reason. Thanks for DJ Shadow though.

I'm not a big DJ Shadow fan. I think his stuff with UNKLE was better then his solo stuff.

Wow. I wonder what made him make an album like this?

I'll download it, but I'm not too sure about it. Entroducing was great but Private Press was fairly average.

I just listened to all of it.

There was maybe 3 songs on there that I enjoyed a little bit. Disappointment++.

i saw him play a week ago and he was fairly dissapointing. new album guaranteed to suck. the guy that sings those coldplay sounding songs completely ruined the set.

general consensus is that the new album blows.
i haven't heard it yet though and i don't think i want to.

Endtroducing - 1,000
DJ Shadow's subsequent career - 0

fix'd.

It's funny because Entroducing was like 10 years ago.

Shadow's never been very good with the rap aspect of hip-hop. There's too much "me first" mentallity to his production.

Admittedly, I've been avoiding this.
