Looks cool, I'm thinking about getting one sometime. I haven't got a clue how it plays or what it sounds like but it looks cool as f**k!!

probably a poor copy of a steinberger. get a real steinberger, i'm sure they're much better.

I don't like the way they play very much but if they're you're thing then I say go for it.
Just don't look at it whilst youre playing cos they're bloody ugly
Yay first post! (on third account but oh well)

what's the advantage of a headless bass?

Generally they have a more stable tuning system, don't suffer from neck dive, are highly portable and often a slightly shorter scale which makes playing easier.

A guy who tryed out for my band had one of them except a guitar, it was pretty quality he said, it sounded ace too.

Portability. A bass like that without big tuners sticking out and a small body is really easy to travel with.

I've read a few things about Ed Roman being a complete scam artist. I don't know if I'd buy from him.

yeah and, while traveling, twice as many people will make fun of you.
maybe if you buy a neon green jumpsuit and wear some new-wave space goggles, it wouldn't look so out of place on a bassist.

Steinberger pioneered the concept alright but you can only get proper Steinbergers second hand now. Even the so called Steinbergers of today are actually licenced copies.

Whenever I see a headless bass I'm reminded of Joey Arkenstat.

haha, that was horrible.
I had a steinberger copy and hated the way it felt, the balance was completely different than what I was used to and the strings were hard to find. it was also a pain in the *** to play while sitting.
