Hey Y'all
Ive decided against buying a new guitar! Instead, Ive decided to replace the parts on my Squier Bullet. It was my very first guitar and I'd love to have it play worthy. I have a few questions I need your help with!
1. I want to change all three pickups. I play indie rock, emo and various alternative rock. What should I put in?
2. I want to change the pickguard. Would I be able to put a tele pickguard on it?
Actually, thats it!
thanks alot

thats really not a good idea. to make it a good guitar you would have to put a new neck and body on it. and thats the main part of the guitar. and no you couldnt put a tele pickguard on it

You think you like using it...Trust me...I was in the same boat at one point. If you do that then chances are you won't be happy with it.
Reasons...
A: The pickups will do nothing for how it feels and how it plays...and plus...they most likely will be worth more then the guitar
B: A Tele pickgaurd would look gay!
C: New guitars are always fun.
Play another guitar and you will beleive me

that was my first guitar too and i want to break it on stage some day.
i dont think you could make it show worthy though because its a bolt on neck and the technical stuff is all messed up in that guitar (at least in mine). i has TERRIBLE noise and humming plus the wood is just gonna limit the pick ups making it not smart to replace.
but im guessing if you want to fix up your bullet that you dont want to spend a lot of money on a new guitar, but you could get an epi standard, custom or studio and all of them would fit indie rock/ alt stuff. and if you want to go even farther than i suggest the schecter tempest custom.

I think you should'nt do anything with the bullet, I'd really buy a new guitar. I LOVE my standard squier too, but It's just not worth it. Believe me, as soon as your gigs get larger and your playing gets better you will see that the bullet doesn't satisfy you.
I have to admit I'd take my squier on stage anytime, it's a great guitar and the first one I kind of pimped, but again, it's a standard and they rock.
Why don't you look into some Agile or SX guitars, they're cheap and I've heard they have an amazing sound. A squier 51' would suit you too, it costs about 150 $ you can see a vid here: http://www.dolphinstreet.com/video_clips/video-7.php
I don't think you can put a tele pickguard on there, you'd have to buy one without any holes and put them in yourself, or you could make your own, my friend did that, it pwnz. I put different knobs, pickup covers and stripes on mine and I think it looks kind of cool: http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k249/nick89_89/DSCF0040.jpg
Do you have 3 singlecoils? If you do there should be something from dimarzio or duncans you can put in, look into those.

Really man as much as you dont want to, you gotta buy a new guitar, to make sure your new guitar feels great just simply go play a bunch at a store and get one as close to (feeling and playability wise) as what you got now

If your favorite t-shirt doesn't fit anymore you can't make it bigger :) or smaller if you got fat.
Buy a new guitar, squier standard strat/tele or SX/Agile (they make les pauls too). Really nice guitars, I like my standard squier too, the bullet isn't worth it.
