Daily Upload - August Edition

Yes, the Daily Upload continues this month! I want to thank everyone that contributed the past few months and especially those that spent the time uploading and doing write-ups. The thread wouldn't exist without all your hard work! :thumb:

If your new to the mailing list concept, here's how it works:
Every day or so an email will be sent out to everyone on the list. In the email will be links to albums that have been uploaded by you, your fellow MXers, and myself. We will all have the benefit of hearing bands we might never have been exposed to. I only send out 10 links per day. This was requested by the mods since mailing lists were getting out of hand. It also helps keep things at a manageable level for me.

If you would like to be on the mailing list, post your email address and then contribute to the discussion as you receive the emails. Posting ONLY your e-mail address without leaving a comment will NOT be tolerated. It's not hard to say "Thank you" or something else along those lines, but do NOT just put down your e-mail address, or you'll be passed over.

Do NOT re-post your address if you are already on the list

This is a forum after all, so please post comments and discuss the music that you have downloaded. If you don't post in the thread regularly, I will remove you from the list. DO NOT come in the thread complaining that you aren't getting the emails anymore if you've been sent links for 150 albums and haven't bothered to post anything!

If you would like to contribute, please upload using one of these services:

Yousendit has the best download speeds but the links expire quickly. The other services' links do not expire unless they are inactive for a long time. If you use YSI, please upload more than once. I suggest doing two YSI links and one using another service. If you upload something for the mailing list, please include a description of what you've uploaded as well as the links. Reviews and links to band websites are great to go with an album. Please at least include the genre!

I have moved the Upload History and the Requests to a website. You can actually search for an album or artist to see if it has already been uploaded. Please check back here frequently. I will update it every day or so to try staying on top of the requests. The Requests are also searchable and listed in alphabetical order.

I highly recommend you download the Valhalla, there's some incredible songwriting craftsmanship in that band. The song Starflaming Heart Of Ural is a masterpiece.

I'd recommend you start with Nothing (the album that is) or I, though that is only one song the drumming is superb on that. I'll upload something when Oz has worked through the stuff he has now.

Nothing is great, a nice mix between techincal playing and atmopshere.
If you want a more brutal Meshuggah get the Chaosphere release the drumming is exellent too there.

There's nothing wrong with Vs. Issues.
In mine I included Kate Bush and Tori Amos and only 2 or 3 people downloaded them (that I know of because they said thanks for it) but I also sent Sonata Arctica and Meshuggah and loads of people said thanks for those so people on the mailing list obviously want metal so that's what's going to be sent out most of the time.

iTunes converts them into Mp3....just add the file and when a window pops up just click where it says Convert and that's it.

Nah. There's not Change Pt. 2, yet. It'll be on their next album, whenever that may be released. That's why it comes after Omitted For Clarity, which I think represents a seperation between two albums. They've done it to heighten anticipation for a follow up, I think, but it can be a little annoying.

EDIT: Also, whoever was whining about "too much Metal" in the previous pages, download Karnivool's Themata, which was in todays issue.
