Tried to get some today but the music store here is pretty small and doesn't always have what you need.

Nice looking kit man. It looks like you have it set up really nice. Cymbals are a bit high for my taste, but whatever works for you.:)

I'm 6' 4" Cymbals are definately not too high for me.

I didn't know they made Westburys that big.. even with the Premier tom it's still a big Westbury kit. I like it, minus the stickers.

Started as a 5 pc, added the 10" tom later. All the stands and cymbals have been upgraded as well, started with Westbury stands and pedals and camber cymbals, 1 crash, 1 ride, and hats. Wish I took pictures of the way it used to look, but from what i remember it would look pretty sad compared to what it looks like now.

They muffle the sound a little bit. They are used a lot in recording and/or places where there cant be a lot of sound.

Great example of making a lower end kit radical.

Thanks, It's definately come a long way from the initial $400-500 I put into it
And the tunning makes them sound just as good as any high end kit.

Yeah I've got the same kit and with nice heads and some good tuning, its sounds pretty good. Nice kit, like what your doing with it.

Nice, kit. I think it would look great if you take off the wrap and re-finish it like combatwombat or enemytopublic have done. That would be excellent.

As I mentioned I own and operate a restaurant/pub, and I am currently in the process of buying another restaurant, so most of my time is spent refinishing the new restaurant which leaves me very little to no time to refinish my drums. Maybe someday I'll have the time. I have definately considered refinishing them because like you I think they would look a lot nicer.
