I've really been diggin' this band lately. I also like some Thievery Corporation and the occasional DJ Shadow song. Can someone recommend some music like this?

L'altra is a great grreat band pretty similar to the aforementioned artists.

'The Understanding' by Royksopp is one of my favourite records of last year. If your into Royksopp, you could try 'Anniemal' by Annie. they produced a fair share of tracks for that album. Listen to Annie's 'Heartbeat', one of the best indie/alternative-pop records of the last couple of years. Also check out the brilliant Ladytron's 'Witching Hour' for some arty electro-pop.

I agree I am digging "the understanding" a lot more than "Melody AM". Alpha Male is a really phenomenal track.

I don't know much about Royksopp, but you should probably check out bands like Massive Attack and Portishead.

Hells yeah. Wicked fresh album, and she's really hot. My Norwegian princess:chug:

Try The Avalanches maybe, they only have one album "Since I Left You", but its bloody wicked. A bit more on the dancey side, but brilliant nonetheless. They're releasing another sometime soon as well.

I'd definitely recommend The Avalanches... Frontier Psychiatrist is an ace track and the video is craaaazzzzy...especially the turtle with the human face. Definitely check it out! Great band, Great album. Can't wait for the new one.
