Virtual memory is memory that is used from hardrive space.

Get some more physical memory, aka, RAM.:thumb:

Its not loads, personaly i would suggest upgrading it to 1gig.

Unless you dont use programs which take up a load of ram, but if things keep crashing, or being slow, best off upgrading.

What do you do most of the time on the computer?

Not much like Internet, msn, iTunes etc. I think it's probably cause I had a few torrents goin at once

512 is the recommended minimum for normal users.
512 is obviously not enough for him since he has 512 and is having problems. If you're not a gamer, another 512 stick should be fine. If you play a lot of newer games, 1.5GB is my recommendation.
