bloomin electric drum kits...i want one so bad...but im really not willing to pay £800 for it...it may be worth it, but i would rather something a little less pricey, ive been looking on websites for second hand ones...but they go so quickly:mad:
but yeh my question...who thinks its worth getting one? im just worried me getting one and its not what i expected it. are they actually good? im sure it all depends on the quality of it and stuff. but you can buy new pads and things for it and i can use my double pedal on it, which im happy about. yeh so who thinks its worth getting one??

I don't.

I think it's more worth it to build one.

Use a proper ****ing title next time.
Sorry it just pisses me off when people use a title that isn't even related and has more than one exclamation mark at the end.

First off, what acoustic kit do you have?
Second, ask yourself, would you use it enough to make it a worthwhile investment.

how long you been playing acoustic?

electronic kits are great for home drumming, they are lots of fun with all the extra drum voices. We have a Yamaha DTXpress I think it is in school, great stuff but I wouldn't want to play live with an electronic kit, they just don't have the same feel for me.

Definately don't have the same feel as an accoustic kit at all. To me it takes away from the fun a bit.

yeh **** sorry.

i think it would be worth it, because soon ive got a feeling im gonna get my drum kit taken off me because of noise. and really i dont want that so i was thinking, pack up my acoustic and keep it for practices with my band and gigs.

i been playing acoustic for...4 years...maybe a bit less. but really im only just getting really involved, for a few years i dint have a kit and wasnt attending my lessons, so i dunno if u can call that playing drums or not.

ahh yea i spent the first 5 years of "drumming" without a kit.. only got to play at lessons

But yea an electric kit is a cool little investment. It helps with creativity a little more. They are a good buy, if you got the money

Yeah, i don't think i would ever get an electric kit. The only scenario is if i'm living somewhere around where several people have a problem with me playing and that there is no where else i can go to practice. In that case, i would get an electric kit, but i would never use an electric kit for a show. Acoustics look sexier, sound sexier, and you can use triggers when you want to diversify. Acoustic all the way!!!!!

Their fun to mess with but to me its still a toy in my eyes. When you can play a buzz roll on a 16" floor tom that just screams unrealistic to me.

JIM!!!!!!!

I'VE.. uh... i mean, WE'VE MISSED YOU!

Personally I just stick the pads on when I need to practise when its late or my parents are in the house.
But whatever floats your boat.
