which one should i go for? and i fit matters, i already have cubase on my computer.
and this is gonna be a solo project for now so i dont really need those extra inputs on the mixer.

I would personally just go for the audio interface, just because that's how I prefer to do things. The Tascam US-122 is a reasonablly priced USB interface. I've had some experience with it and it's a good basic interface. I'm not sure how much a Firebox is but Presonus' stuff is very good, although it's firewire, and I don't know if you have the right computer inputs. But you can just pick up the interface and do the mixing on the computer. Any mixer you get at that price range probably won't offer anything more than you already have on Cubase.
Just my thoughts...
