I'm listening to What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse... they weren't really that good at writing back then, and they were a bit sloppy... especially Trevor, but it's good.... I'm glad they cut out the breakdowns and clean singing... both were okay, but they didn't really fit very well.

Whats lacking/wrong with Unhallowed that is present in Miasma? I prefer Unhallowed at the moment. The fact that i can sit through the Unhallowed album without pressing the skip button, well that does it for me. Miasma has some standout songs...but i dont know, i just cant sit through the whole album without pressing the skip. Maybe i'll grow on it, just like how i grew on Unhallowed.

I still dont figure out why most Gothenburg listeners hate them this much, i mean cmon...im a gothenburg fan, but im a big fan of this band too. and yeaa, Apex and Miasma are kickass songs.

EDIT: BDM is borderline Gothenburg anyway.... Opeth isn't Gothenburg at all, and they own... Capharnaum, Arsis, The Red Chord, and Through The Eyes Of The Dead are all American and definately more brutal

Try and get Unhallowed if you can. Miasma is just straight out more brutal with less melodic hooks than Unhallowed.

I love both unhallowed and miasma. Currently Miasma is my favorite. I love everything about it. The only reason I say I like miasma better is because i cant say that I LOVE every song on unhallowed.

I downloaded like 2 songs off one of their album ones, they were supposed to be the "best" songs of the album. I just couldnt get into them...if that is what you call "real" metalcore, then i guess im not into it. But ill go back and give it a try some day again.
