View Full Version : Chill Music
I figured this would be the place to come. I normally am a resident of the bass forum, but, oh well.
So, recently, ive been getting into a lot of softer Alt/indie stuff (mostly stuff my friends play, that i cant ever remember the names of), and i just love the "chill-ness" of it.
Im digging bands like Tegan & Sara (ironically, im dating a girl named Sarah, and a girl named Tegan is one of my best friends), Zero 7, some 311 (if it applies here), bands such as that.
What are some other bands that seem like they would fit the type?
Thanks

A lot of Stereolab's stuff has a great chill factor. Or something. For one particular album, maybe try Mars Audiac Quintet. They've got better albums than that but Mars settles into a really nice groove.
You might like Iron and Wine, too.

For Zero 7, definitely get Moon Safari by Air (duh) and A Livingroom Hush by Jaga Jazzist. I've never listened to Tegan and Sara but I bet you'll like Yo La Tengo's I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One.

Broken Social Scene, Death Cab For Cutie, Postal Service, and American football are some you should check out. From a past thread I discovered a lot of people on here hate Sufjan Stevens but he is deffinately somebody to check out. I think hes awesome.
You guys hate Air?
