I'm high on speed. WHat songs/bands would you recomend for me to listen to?

I don't know If I'd like Bob Marley and the Wailers when I'm on speed. It's great music, but I barely have the attention span to read a paragraph. If I was on some type of downer it'd be good listening.


I don't want to snort any more lines, and my high is dieing down. I wnat some suggestions, quick.

NOFX used to be an old favourite for me and a couple of mates when we were 'whizzing'.

Try getting Three On Speed & Go To Work Wasted, and then any of their faster songs after that.

Shpongle seems more like a group to listen to while on hallucinogensNo way, XTC would be the best for something like Shpongle. You're just mellowed out and want to hear trippy noises with a elecktronika beat behind it....man that's perfection in the making!

Hallucinogens are weird.....you'd think you would want to hear something completely tripped and psychedelia that's all over the place but I find listening to highly emotional Jazz and Classical pieces are best. Ex: Symphony 9 (Ludwig Van Beethoven), A Love Supreme (John Coltrane), Karma (Pharaoh Sanders) and Black Saint and the Sinner Lady (Charles Mingus)

I don't know about speed though, I'd stay away from it.

A few songs to listen to no matter what you're on....they're that great.

1. Fiddler on the Green by Demons and Wizards. This one, ladies and gentlemen, is a mind****. You WILL cum and you WILL like it and you WILL want to do it over and over again. This song is number one for a reason.

2. The Prophet's Song by Queen. Dear god this one's good. It WILL take you aback. You almost feel a gush of wind brushing your hair back...or maybe it's the phantom magic of Queen? ...both.

3. People WILL disagree with this one...but there's so many elements to this song... The Poet and the Pendulum by Nightwish. Many movements, very orchestral, highs and lows, that sort of thing. I enjoy it.

4. And Then There Was Silence by Blind Guardian. This one's for the history buffs...and maybe for the stoners who like a good story. Sit back and let the visualizations wash over you...it's a long one: 14 + minutes.

7. Opeth- Blackwater Park

---These Opeth songs are great...but I really do suggest WATCHING Opeth...live. And live only. Unless you don't want your mind blown, because it will happen. ---

And I hope, with like me, other stoners REALLY listen to their music. Don't listen and web surf. Don't listen and roll a blunt. Don't listen and TALK. This is a big no-no. Lie back, unless you're driving, and listen...LISTEN...to your music. It'll pay off in the end! :D

But for any sort of amphetamine/stimulant your gonna want something fast, paced catchy. Some good songs for that are Five.Bolt.Main-The Gift, Earshot-Wait, Anberlin-Paperthin Hymn. I also enjoy Elliott Smith and various acoustic/low-fi indie when I'm high on methyphendidate. Check all that out.

If you're high on speed and like rock-ish music you should listen to early Today Is the Day, or something grimey like OLD (old lady drivers). Electronica is good, like squarepusher is pretty hi-octane, aphex twin, venetian snares, or something twinkly and nice like Royksopp, or something experimental like Autechre. However I really recommend the first two Today Is The Day albums. Oh yeah and as been mentioned before listen to the first System Of A Down album.
