I had no idea where to post this now that the pit is down. But i've always wondered how do you make animated banners? I was thinking of making one for my band but I don't know how. I've searched it on google but the sites weren't that good and didn't really explain things that well...

I use Photoshop CS + ImageReady
Photoshop for the concepts and ImageReady to animate it.

But you can also use this program http://www.blumentals.net/egifan/
It is a free trial and pretty easy to use.

You can google any Animated Gif programs, if you want to learn how to make different types of animated banners:

Macromedia Flash is the industry standard for animated banner advertisements.

I use Photoshop CS and iDraw for all my animating- which I highly recommend if you're using a mac.

I use Photoshop CS2 for that sorta stuff. It has inbuilt animating stuff (pretty much ImageReady functions, just saves using 2 programs)

thx for all of your help...I made 2 banners and when I tried putting them in photobucket they didn't move. They were just stuck on the first slide. How do you save the animation so it isn't stuck on the first slide and it goes through all of them?
