Is anyone else familiar with his work? His compositions are mind blowing. He is known most for his music on the Final Fantasy video game series.

I've listened to some of his music which he composed for the FF video game series, but I didn't really like it that much. I found it to be some-what boring really.

Yeah, I find his music to be rather boring as well. That's a usual problem with soundtrack music though. However, I haven't heard too much of his, but what I've heard didn't really pull my attention.

Which soundtracks have you listened to? I can say that some are far more boring than others.

When listening to him without having played the game, you kind of need a tour guide to point you in the right direction. Listening to the dozens upon dozens of songs in each soundtrack will bore you. Listening to the highlight songs is incredibly rewarding. Final Fantasy fanboys and girls will find listening to it one song at a time rewarding. Newcomers won't.

I'm a huge fan of him, I've been listening to his stuff since elementary school. I also really dig Yasunori Mitsuda (The Chrono saga/Xenogears composer)

Im a really big fan of his. I've been listening to his stuff since I was a small child with the FF series, guess you could say I grew up on it.

I should be making some recordings (covers) of his when I get a few more pieces of equipment, quite excited to finally be able to play a lot of these songs.

Yasunori Mitsuda is the man too.
