Brand new American power metal! These guys formed in 2004 and just released their debut album, Enter Deception, on June 27. They're signed to Metal Blade, a big step for the label, as Cellador is their first power metal band in over a decade.
Anyhoo, I just heard the song Never Again on MusicChoice a few minutes ago and immediately rushed to my computer to look these guys up. The solos are mindblowing. Duel shredding that just goes on and on without sounding boring or repetitive. It was a guitarists dream.
I'm trying to get Enter Deception right now. Anyone heard of/know these guys?

Yeah, these guys are fantastic. Some of the best power metal i've heard. They could possibly be my favorite, haha.

Generic as all hell, and the singer looks a bit like an Avenged Sevenfold reject, but I was suprised when their video came up on Headbanger's Ball. It was different from everything else, and not half bad.

The look of the singer really throws off the band's image.

If you ask me they are a slightly more original Stratovarius, but still fall victim to that cookie cutter Power Metal sound. The fact that they are from America is probably thier most redeeming quality, seeing as America usually doesn't make this kind of music.
I found them on Myspace sometime last year, I was pretty surprised when I heard them, but the more I listened to more I noticed it was just Stratovarius spiced up a bit.
I don't like these guys, but then again I'm kinda of biased because the guys are douchebags.

He looks nothing like the rest of the band. :p
IheartSP, I detected a Galloglass influence over anything else, really...plus, the one single they have has what sounds like metalcorish shouting/talking in it at parts.

I've only heard a few songs off their Myspace, and I've never heard Galloglass before.

The songs I've heard didn't sound anything like Stratovarius. I'm not familiar with Galloglass though.

Leaving All Behind on their Myspace is quite Stratovarius-esque.

Same here. I don't get where people see them as "generic" and whatnot.

I don't either. This is some of the most original power metal I've heard in a long time.
I just downloaded A Sign Far Beyond and it's speed metal with some killer solos.

This other song on their Myspace, Forever Unbound, is also sounding pretty heavily Stratovarius influenced, especially in the chorus.
I'm glad Metal Blade has signed them. It seems Power Metal is actually gaining popularity seeing as Dragonforce is on the Ozzfest bill, Cellador is on the Ozzfest Demo Cd, and Avenged Sevenfold tries desperately to rip off every Power Metal band and call it their own work.
They sound like a Helloween cover band.

Yeah it seems no one can agree what they are ripping off but we all seem to notice they are ripping off somebody

Yet they are better than all whom they rip off. I can deal with that :p

Don't you wish you had one of those cool bandanas like the singer does
I could also go for a nice block goatee.

Decent band, but totally unoriginal and boring IMO. They do have a lot of potential though.

The vocalist sounds like he's trying to sound like every other power metal band/iron maiden.
Why do power metal bands always do this, why can't they sing in a different accent. :(

I have no idea how this band got signed. That singer is terrible. THe instrument work doesn't NEARLY make up for that retard's antics, iether.

I heard these guys right before they released Enter Deception, and I was pretty impressed. They remind me of Dragonforce.

How is he terrible? Unoriginal, debatable, but terrible? He hits all the pitches and he's got a decent voice
Generic, but good generic. I like it.

I saw them live two days ago and they owned so hard. Met all five members after the show and they signed the front of the booklet to "Enter Deception" for me. I also bought their shirt they had for sale too. Freakin' awesome band.

I've also been trying to find the album for a little while, so far no luck but really haven't given more than a half assed effort at it. I'd say they've got an incredible amount of potential considering they're 17-24 years old =\

I don't know if they're that young. I met them as I said and I can see like 19, or so, but definitely not just a year more than I.

This is funny. My brothers band, Morbid, beat this band in a Battle of the Bands a couple years ago, now they are signed...That was probably because the crowd wasn't too into Power Metal.

Well im watching the vid for them right now and I have to say....KICK *** these guys are very maiden'y he sounds verrrry similar to Bruce, and I'm loving the guitar work, although unlike you guys I never get bored of Shred solos.
althoguh there deffinitly ripping off somebody but i dont think it's just one band.
Resurrecting for bragging rights. :) They're from here where I live (Omaha) and they're playing a show here in about 10days and I'm their guitar tech for that show. They're all cool as hell.

they deffinitley arent ripping off stratovarius though.
if they had got jesper stotz to play keys then it probally would have sounded more stratovarius.
EDIT: woah i thought this thread was new untill i saw my other post....
