Hey we are goin to be recording soon and would like to do it ourselves. Just a few questions
#1 how effective would it be to run all of the instruments into our PA/mixer and then run it into a computer. I was thinking this way we could have it recorded and mixed all at once.
#2 After that we would throw vocals over it, but i would like a mic that is better than an SM58 that can handle screaming without distorting. All I know is that people use dynamic mics for singing, not sure if they are too delictate for some real loud sh<i>i</i>t
Also if there are any tips or ideas that would make this more easy and enjoyable they would be appreciated. My last recording experience was nothing but a lot of frustration. This time we have better equipment.
