Are not for saying how much you dislike the band. This has been happening all too often. Such posts will now be deleted.

Taking the humor out of sputnik isn't funny.
..no pun intended.

Except that it isn't funny. And you're being annoying.

BTW, harsh bans will be given out by me if those who used to post in the pit try and transfer over to the news. ;)

Talking about just music gets boring after like an hour and a half.
Humor helps people cope with life.

How about you just have that humor be in 'real' life and not on the 'internet life' then?
We have plenty of humor in the right places

Can I have a link?
Entropy is a part of life.
Kreator2112, please stop posting in this forum or I will have to ban.

I think the news will inevitably (ugg, spelling?) bring people who want to do nothing but bash the bands. I mean, over at UG I read the news every so often and it always either A) Turns into some political debate or B) is just people mindlessley bashing any band.
I mean, I can understand trying to contain it a little bit. But I don't think expecting people to act rationally is a realistic goal.

I am on U-G all the time and Sputnikmusic's news posters are nowhere, nowhere near as bad at all. I'd ban them all before I let Sputnik's news get like that s-hole of a place (not the whole site, just the comments of the people in the news there).

I know they arent anywhere near that level, I was just saying eliminating it completely is an un-realistic goal.
I remember I made an account on UG just to tell a bunch idiots to shut up about emo sucking, and I eventually got backed up by one of the mods. That leads me to think they might be understaffed there or something.
oh well, aslong as mx doesn't turn into that.

I'm not why you guys are so concerned with the content of the posting. It's only the internet and only forums. It shouldn't effect your personal life.

It doesn't affect my personal life at all. I'm in charge of the news section along with Thor and neither of us want it to be complete drivel and full of incompetent morons.

Then you may want to pass your modship off to someone else.

It's hard to be serious while reading news articles that say "los lonely bos bassist arrested."
There would be one downside to taking away the comments. What if a news article is incorrect?

If a news article is incorrect, there should be a "report incorrect news" sort of link that brings the person to problems thread here.

Well, er, uh, hm, ah, duh, there's always the report problems thread.
Personally, I want the comments to stay as it's just a place to be able to talk about the news. It's not like every comment you see is bad, or anything.

Oh god please please tell me that my article is actual news! I have the feeling that I may have overemphasized the concert part instead of the newsworthy absence of a member at the concert. just dont hurt me im sorry :(
