Argh, this is driving me up the wall

I have a big red line coming down my monitor, I don't know what it is and it is starting to bug me.

Can someone explain how to get rid of it?

What type of monitor do you have? And where is the line?Well it's a Dell and it's one of the thin ones. The line is right down the middle.

It started appearing a few weeks ago.

And it developed over a period of time.

Check the cable connecting your monitor to your video card, make sure it's all connected securely, also make sure it's not next to something that could be emitting some kind of interference (like an electric motor for example).

Other than that, you could give some monitor repair specialist people a call and see what they think, it's most likely something that can be fixed by replacing something simple inside, I've seen monitors with much worse problems fixed by changing simple things.

hmm, maybe you put a magnet to close to it, try unplugging it for 1 or 2 days see if it clears up.
