Cassette to CD Converters

Need help finding a Cassette to CD Converter in price range of $400 and less. Please help us!

Can't you just take your cassette player and a guitar cable, put a 1/4" jack on each end of the guitar cable, plug one end into the headphone jack on the cassette player and the other end into a computer's mic jack, record it, and then burn it onto a cd?

I don't know if you'd lose any quality or not, but it sounds like it would work to me. If not, you're only out about $5.
