whenever i export my recordings as mp3 files they sound like they are muffled. why is this? right now im recording with a lexicon lamba with ipod headphones.

Because you havent mastered them properly. They are to loud hench they are muffled. Make sure u master it so it doesnt clip.

i did but it still sounds the same. any other suggestions?

Check your export settings.

Make sure that you're not exporting to low bitrates, sampling frequencies, and channels.

You'll likely want at least 160 kbps, with 44.1 kHz sampling, and stereo.

It's also possible that Cubase LE has lousy .mp3 compression. Try exporting to .wav and using something else to convert. If you have a PC, try the dBpoweramp music converter found at:

Export them as wav 'stereo interleaved'...

...then use audiograbber to make mp3 out of them.
