So, I planning on buying parts to build my own guitar from warmoth.com

If I buy the body from their site, and I am only looking for a plain white finish should I paint it myself or get them to do it for 165$?

as in, is there any special technique to painting a guitar that I may not be aware of?

from what i've experienced its just like painting a car, start off with like 320ishgrit sandpaper and work your way up, 400+ then maybe 1k, then maybe wetsanding if you really want to go extreme.
