Took the pictures right after I put 'em on. :p

2.0MP Fujifilm A205. Horrible camera really... but if you take the time to figure it out, it can take some decent pictures.

That's what I want. I want it now.
Same hardware as me, the stands and the hihat pedal are brilliant. I love the snap of wingnut things, makes things hell of a lot easier.

So... had you played anything before you took the pictures. Everything looks brand new. The only 2 things I don't really like are the hight of the hats, and that all the cymbals are parallel with the ground.
How well does the boom clamp hold the ride? I don't think I would trust one of those with anything larger than 15-16".
I'm a member at PDF but I don't post much. It seems like everyone there are severe brand whores (not gonna lie, when I read the specs. to your kit, my first thought was "whore much").
Someone asked if he should get a Sonor 3005 or a Pearl SMX. They are essentally the same thing (all maple, only difference is the Sonor comes with hardware, Pearl doesn't), but the Sonor is about $260 less than the Pearl, so naturally I said the Sonor would be better. I was one of three or four who said that, with probably about 30 who said Pearl.

As mentioned before, the heads were pretty much brand new when I took the pictures. The cymbals vary in age from a few months old to a few years old.
I've had the shells since August 2004, but they stopped producing SRXs at the end of '03, so its at least 3 years old, maybe more. (It was basically new old stock when I bought it, which is the reason the dealer I bought it from threw diecast hoops on it.)

Never had a problem with it.

I'm a Zildjian whore, I'll freely admit that.
Not so much a Pearl whore though, contrary to what you see here. (I also own a Yamaha Stage Custom Nouveau for gigging/practising which is outfitted with Gibraltar hardware. Also a great kit.)

Well, its to be expected on a Pearl forum, really...

I sit very high, but it's what I'm most comfortable with. Can't stand sitting much lower for some reason.
very nice looking, what genres do you play mostly?
Mostly rock, with some blues and jazz in there somewhere.

I said that he was going to get biased replys, and about 5 people said they wouldn't be because not everyone on the forum uses Pearl, and the Pearl forum bias statement is only used if a majority replies don't follow your opinion. When will people learn not to ask if you should get a sessions kit in a sessions sub-forum?
