Squiers

Do Squiers suck? I either hear extreme goooood things or extreme baaaad things. For what they are at least, how does it compare to other starter basses?

They're good to start out with, but probably not the best. My first bass was the Squier, I got the Bass Pak. Worked fine for me, and I've had it for almost 2 years. Still love it. The neck is fatter than the one on my Ibanez, and it sucks trying to hold my hand around the bigger neck and all... Other than that it's pretty damn good.

I think they are often underrated and bashed on, but what do you expect when half the people on here play warwicks and musicmans.....they really arent that bad, they use the exact plans fender uses, the only thing i don't like about them (and its the same on fenders) is that the necks are fat (compared to others like ibanez)

So how would it compare to the GSR200 by Ibanez?

The Ibanez is better, probably.
I have an OLP MM-2, and I love it. It is worth way more than the $250 it costs.
