Just bought me an american precision bass and it would be wrong to play it through the piece of **** amp i have so i need a new one.
Anyone any recommendations?
Have my eye on a 280w GK 2x10. http://www.gallien-krueger.com/products_artist_co_400-210.html#
Oh and is it better to go with a 15" speaker or a 2x10" or does it make that much of a difference?

GK's are great amps, so you're on the right track definitely. If you want a deeper tone go with the 15". If you're looking for something with a bit more punch then the 2x10" is the better choice. Congrats on the MIA P, that's an awesome bass.

what sort of amp do you have now?
as for speaker size, what sort of music do you play?

I like the GK but also look into Ashdown. Neither speaker is better they are both different 2x10s will probably be louder, more punchy but have less bass than the 15". The 15" will be big bassy with probably less highs.

Have a 100w ashdown combo at the mo. its alrite but i'd like somethin a bit better.
I'm lookin for a deep bass sound. so sounds like the 1x15
Hard to say what genre we fall into. Some kind of effect driven rock i suppose.
