Well, after about a year of wanting one, yesterday i finally got a fender aerodyne jazz. I went to london the other week to try one and then once i knew i definately wanted it ordered it from GAK. I love it, the tone is so good and i think it looks so sexy. What does everyone else here think of them? Eidit: Taken some pics now, what you think?

Congrats :thumb:.
Don't like them, though. Only mentioned it because you ask, I'm not really that rude.

Looks to me either like the height of the pickups is uneven, so they're coming out at an angle, or it's just reflection in the high gloss finish.

Nice, although I think they should've just made them with two jazz pickups.

Because the Aerodyne has a curved top, the P p-ups aren't aligned with each other.
And you'll notice with the jazz p-upthat it sticks out more at the E and G string ends than in the middle.
Hope that made sense. :thumb:

i dont really like it. it seems just like a normal p bass, just with a jazz pickup.

That version is a Jazz bass with a swapped neck pickup.

The P needs to be screwed down, doesn't it? Looks like it is coming up in the middle.
Otherwise it's awesome. I really like the look of the Aerodyne series.

Nice buy, I'd like to try the new Highway One series. They've got the thinner, nitrocellulose finish like American's, as well as a Badass bridge. For $800, it seems like a great alternative to an American or Japanese.

Aerodynes are amazing, i'm deciding between one of them or a rickenbacker for my next bass.

Looks awesome, but if they had a maple fretboard and an extra fret or two I'd be out to get one in a heartbeat.
