View Full Version : Cleaning a Maple Fingerboard

So I have a Stingray with a maple board... it was a very nice maple when I recieved it. It's not so nice anymore. It's starting to get dark with dirt and grime (I'm assuming.)... I'd like to clean it up and then have it setup professionally.

So yeah, I'm most likely going to take the strings off and then clean the fingerboard and the neck. What should I use? I've gone on the website but it seems to be misleading (for me).

Also, should I be doing anything else while cleaning it? It mentioned a wax on the site, but I don't know how that works. If someone could fill me in and help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.
