ProCo RAT 2 on bass?

i can pick one up for $100 AU. Is it a good buy or a waste cuz im chasing a bass distortion pedal (or equivilent). Anyone got or used on these things through bass?

Go for it. I have a vintage RAT, and if the RAT 2 is anything like it, it'll be worth it, easily.

with the vintage do u lose much low end when it's clicked on?
