What kind would you guys recommend for a 5 string bass?

Probably a set of five string bass strings.



Seriously, whatever you want really. The gauge should be your main concern if you're unsure.

Get heavier gauge if you want a deeper tone, lighter gauge if you don't want it so deep.

Be more specific. What styles do you play, what sound do you want, do you downtune, how do you like your action.. etc.

GHS Boomers blow Warwick strings out of the water. They sound better and feel better.

well i used a set of dean markley strings on my bass..the blue steel..they were awesome ..best strings i had on my bass...oh and Dr is good too:thumb:

i put some on mine after using steels for a while. now i know why i always used slinkies:smoke:

+1 on the Slinkies, I use nothing but EB strings.
