I have a Cort GB-34 which I defretted a while ago... it's kinda become my project bass. Anyway, I want to scrap the pre-amp in it, and just have the pickups running to the output.

How do I go about this? Also, I might install a pickup switch, seeing as there are 2 pickups (J + MM), could someone find me a diagram or something?

Help greatly appreciated

just take the wires that are attached to the volume pot, and the wires from the volume pot to the jack, and join them. the wire that is coming from the pup's and is grounded to either the top of the volume pot/something else, needs to be grounded to the bridge.

I think it's grounded to the carbon paint in the routing

What about including the switch?

yes, but what would you like it to do? if you put 2 in you could turn either pickup on or off, so you could have them individually, together, or off completely. OR you could put a 3 way like in cheap fenders and have and it'd back both of front.

Simply 3 way, I have one laying around from an old Tele anyway.

Would it be... pickups > switch > output, and the grounding I leave as it is?

Where should I connect the grounding wire?
