Im going to be recording next week and I just want to make sure Ive got the bpm's of my two tracks right.
http://myspace.com/supertuxrock
Open You Eyes - Its around 82bpm
Keep Quiet Its Just Us - 90bpm
Is this right?
And I find it slightly hard to keep track on Keep Quiet Its Just Us as the snare beats fall on the '&' beats rather then the 2's or 4's....anyone have any tips?

Practise them alot before you start recording?
If you're still not too sure on the parts, maybe you shouldn't be recording just yet

My band. We are multi tracking, hence why its important I get the right tempo

Then instead of getting an "around" number value, perhaps you should record with an exact speed. As in, a metronome.

If you're doing the drums first, just lay it down at a similar tempo.
I'm pretty sure the rest of your band won't care if it's one click faster or slower, unless they're tempo nazi's... in which case;

the reason i said around is because i want to give an idea of what tempo it might be around. All i want is for someone to take a listen to it and tell me if my approximation is right...
Its obviouslt prooving to be to hard...

What you should do instead of worrying about all of that is just do a rough recording in your basement or whatever...and then put it on a tape or CD. Play it through a tape/CD player and put headphones into you're ISO phones and play along to that. You can have the feel, and the timing.
