Got a chance to test some recording gear today. I recorded a short groove to see how it came out. IMO, it sounds decent for a cheapish 3 mic set-up.

Any thoughts?

First offyour set sounds great.. but didn't groove alot..I don't know, felt very very repeative and kinda boring, I was expecting for you to change it up. I didn't feel it..

Yeah, the set sounds really great, especially for 3 mics. The beat was nice, but nothing AMAZING, haha.

Haha, sorry to let you all down :)

This was basically just a chance to let me hear myself play, to locate my weak points. I noticed the ghost notes were too loud, so I'm gonna work on that (may have been worsened by the mics, but still, no excuses). Also, I can hear some sloppy parts that make me cringe.

i liked it but maybe more ghost notes on the snare instead of normal hits

^^ he said he was going to try toamke them softer, so maybe you thought the ghost notes were regular hits.

but i thought it sounded pretty good, you were just making a small littel recording to see how everything sounded, not trying to play a song or nething.
its always nice to hear yourself after recording it.

I liked your ghost notes even though they weren't that ghostly...
