View Full Version : Converting Iron Cobras to Left Handed?

Does anyone here have a guide on how to do this?

I've searched google, it could be my inability to search, but I didn't find anything.

The instruction manual that came with the pedals didn't say anything about changing it from Right handed to Left handed either.

I will be able to take them into the store I bought them from Monday and they will change them for me, but I've been very anxious to play these all week, I would love to be able to do this myself.

I don't think they are convertible. Tama makes left handed double pedals on top of right handed pedals anyways.

You cant change from righty to lefty or vice versa. You can only make a double 2 singles.

they make lefty bass pedals so you dont have to switch them, therefore they dont make them so you can, to save money i would guess. There probably is some pedal out there that can switch, but the Iron Cobras dont.

No, Iron Cobras, or at least the pair I have are definately convertible, it is the reason I bought them...

aparently you can convert them to centres, theres a guide on the pearl forum.

It's quite apparant when you look at them that they are convertable...

Trust us, they arent.

Also i wrote a guide to split pedals, not convert them.

Ahh, there's some tiny screws on the shoulders of the pedals, I don't know the terminology, but they basically control which side the middle bar sticks onto, if you can understand what I'm saying.

There's not much more to it then that..

Edit: I didn't convert them, I took them to a music shop, and the guy did it for me, but he told me all I needed to know to do it myself were the screws on the shoulders.

You can definitely convert them to centre pedals, I have seen it done.
