Totally unfinished song (a verse and prechorus). Don't know what to do with it. I don't want to screw it up; it's for someone special.

Any ideas on what to do next, where to go, or things of that sort?

I know it's pretty short, but someone has to have some ideas.....

reminded me of the calling at first hehe
i liked it. realistically you could probably get away with just one opening riff, you don't have to repeat it... or the second time you could use a minor... just to make it interesting...

What would be cool is if you went for... i duno are you in F#?
something like... F#, G#m, B, C#
or if you're in G, G, Am, C, D... just to end the chorus...
it just works up well on the bass... and gets you out of your minor chorus back into your verse.

one or two G, C, intros... or perhaps, G, C, Em, C - to introduce the variation i talked about at the beginning... it'd be great with some light strings. crescendo cello style or something :)

just write another verse!

oooh i like it btw! i think it would be cool in the chorus if you were to just change the bass note and not the whole chord in the sequence... so rather than it being

Em, C, G, D... have it more like, Em, C, G, G (rootnote F#)

I FORget the theory :)

There's another one that's an unfinished one. My bassist wrote the higher guitar melody a long time ago before he met me, and I added the other guitar yesterday and we thought it sounded pretty good.

not bad! it's pretty cool, although i am definately in favour of the first one :-) i like strummy acoustic guitar haha... the other one seems a little complex with a lot going on, and personally I liked just appreciating the singing voice and i also felt the melody was better... i really liked it!
