I've never had experience with the Roland bass amps...
Have a look into Laney's R series amps and SWR's LA series.

Actually, my 35 watt Peavey Max is just enough for me and a drummer.

I use a Peavey Basic 60, and I love it, personally. Built like a tank, too. Can't speak for the newer models, but I've heard they're the same.

You should get a decent amp, something cheap with a single "6 inch speaker isn't going to help you produce much bass. If your playing with a guitarist later on you will need something roughly 3-4 times the size (in watts) to keep up aswell.

I understand that but I don't want to end up spending a whole lot of money on my bass at the moment. I need better gera for my guitar rig. I'll try and find some used amps but the biggest problem is there arent enough pawn shops.
I agree the older peaveys are built like a tank. I have 2 Peavey Rages. transtube and regular SS they are pretty crappy but could take a hella beating.

i have the roland 100watt cube. its good very flexible, i can get alot of different tones etc from it and the effects are pretty good for messing around, its loud but im hoping to get something a bit bigger as 2 loud drummers 2 loud guitarists and a singer are a bit much but it is loud enough.
the effects bump up the price a bit you could probably get something without effects better for the same price,

Well I didn't end up getting an amp today. Coulda gotten a fender rumble 60 for 270cdn used but I am not going back to that store, the owner was an ***.
