what do people think oof the ibanez 905??
i am looking at one at the moment,plays real nice and it is a nice upgrade from my gsr,

That's the neck-through version of the SR505 isn't it? I love my SR500-series bass and the 900 is probably just as good if not better seeing as it is higher up in the price scale.
