What music are you intending on playing?

Trust me, Washburn by far. The combo and bass are both wonderful.

Good. The Washburn I've seen more for rockers, but the Eden Nemesis more for jazz players, now I'm pretty sure that's the best one for you.

The Washburn is a sweet pack but you might wanna consider the Ibanez.
I haven't played that model but it's meant to be a good beginner bass and I've liked the Ibanez's I've played.
But what do I know :P
Edit:
Go for the washburn

I don't think the new Ibanez stuff is that great for Jazz though.:-/

The Washburn one isn't bad at all. From personal experience.

Yeah.
Hence my reconsideration.
I wasn't thinking too much about the Jazz.

Well, the Epiphone (the one I played anyway) was pretty bad, and ive never really liked squiers. Also the Ibanez starter bass that I tried a long while ago was pretty good

the epiphone just looks bad too but I need something good for a beginner and that Ibanez packs got everything I could ask for. I think I'll go with it thanks for the help guys!

Ibanez for sure. But beware: the straps that come in starter packs are horrible. I would invest in a good Levy's strap. It might cost a little bit, but they stay on well and last forever if you take care of them. I have an MPA 2" strap, it isn't expensive.

Ibanez starter pack is what I bought when I first started out. I ****ed that bass up and wound up selling it for 30 dollars, and it still plays pretty good. I'd say go for that.

squier because I got a squier kit when a friend got an ibanez kit and my amp was louder then hers and my bass felt better to play

I've found that the ibanez starter basses seem to sound worse than the squires and have more problems with breaking.
If it's at all possible to try any of them out Tildeasterickpluslineplusastericktilde, It would be a good idea.
You forget the Peavey kit, it's decent.

That only means that they are not making any new ones.
There's probably still a lot in circulation.

Ibanez! They're better basses and amps IMO. Plus you get shítloads more stuff with the Ibanez pack than others.

Ibanez. Pretty good amp, hell i can sit on the thing. The tone isnt good, but the craftmanship on the bass is good. Everyone i know who bought one to start out with, held on to it. i still love mine, and i have it in C sharp tuning. The squier isnt as well built and yeah, doesnt feel as good in your hands.

Ruling out teh washburn, I would go for either the Ibanez or the Squire, depending on which suites your taste better.

I have a squier and it plays pretty good, but back when I started bass my friend let me borrow his Ibanez GRS200 and it was a little better than my squier. My squier does play good, but it has too tones, bright and not so bright(kind of smooth). The Ibanez starter has a much better tones imo.

Well if you can't get that washburn starter pack, get the ibanez one. But if you can get the washburn one GET IT. Great basses (main bass is a washburn) and eden>all other amps.
