I realise Scotland's in the UK. It makes me giggle because they claim it to be a UK tour but only have 2 Scotland dates. Almost as if they're just throwing them in so it'd be correct to call it a UK tour.
Sorry, should have made that clearer.

"I'm the slap-bass president for gods sake! Yeah it used to be Mark King, but we had a thumb-off and I smashed him into the ground like a blonde tentpeg... Get back to Level 42 and go about yer business."

WOO! :D I'll be at the sage. I'll try and bring as many of my mates along too. I think the drum teacher has been urging all the drummers to go to it to see some drum action too :)

The Mighty Boosh! Watchin that with a bunch of guys who don't have a clue who Mark King is or what slap bass is and bursting out laughing is seemingly uncool...
I'll be at the Nottingham show getting my dirty groove on.

It's just black tape. There's an audio interview floating around the net, where he talks about what it is (black tape wrapped round several times) and why he uses it (he split his thumb open during a show once, blood went everywhere).

I don't see the problem with calling it a UK tour with only two Scottish dates. England has just under 50 million people. Scotland has only five million people. Why have a large amount of dates in a place with a dramatically smaller amount of people?

That said, it has been Mark King's opinion for a long long time that Level 42 were received much better in Canada than they were in the US. That said, Europe was still their biggest market, and I doubt they'll trek to Canada again.

After Power Windows was relased the tour dates were annonced, with none in Canada (pretty sure it was none, might have been 1). Cue loads of angry Rush fans causing trouble, eventually forming a petition and managing to secure Rush for one show.
Proof petitions and angry mobs do work.

That sucks, I want them to play a show in toronto so I can see them. Well they played there in 2003 and in another city around here last year for live 8 but I wasn't into rush at that point.

that, and I wish they would remaster Vapor Trails. They remastered some tracks for the "Boys in Brazil" documentary.
