Does anybody know what this would sound like if I put this (http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TubeMP/) int he effects loop of my amp? Could I put push it to distortion?

ummm.... i'd just think it'd do more or less the same as an onboard preamp in ur bass
and you know that's for acoustic guitars and mics, mainly mic's

yeah I know but I was wondering? I mean how is it any different that running through a tube built in? would it be different? I think I may just try it. I was plannign on getting a cheap preamp anyways.

if you wanted to overdrive it I would suggest putting it in front of your amp rather than in the effects loop.
That being said, that device only houses a single 12AX7... You're not going to get much of a tube characteristic out of a single 12AX7. If you want tube overdrive just get a Sansamp BDDI.
EDIT: Allow me to reword that... If you want tube overdrive without an actual tube-amp, get a Sansamp BDDI
