They're extremely overrated. They're not a bad band by any means, but they really aren't as good as one might be encouraged to believe.

Yeah, alot of people get freaky over them.

I enjoy them quite a bit. One of my favorite bands.

Their Bad Religion cover is really good.

You'd be hard pressed to find many people who don't like at least a few Sublime songs. You'd also be hard pressed to find someone who's never heard of them, since so much hype was drawn to them through Bradley Nowell's overdose.

They're overrated by stupid stoners, but aside from that, they're just good jams.

They're ok. I agree with whoever said they were good summer music.

Music doesn't get better with seasons.

I'm not saying it does. I was saying that I'd be more in the mood to hear Sublime during the summer than during the winter.

Yeah they're definately a decent band atleast worth listening to. Singer has an amazing voice, agreed with them being a good summer tune to hear.

I must say I'm a fan. 60% of what I listen to is Ska/Reggae/Dub nowadays, and it just suits a hot day perfectly.

Santeria is my favourite song I think, great fun to play acoustic.

i don't like them, i find them overrated by people who think they like reggae but really only like the song Buffalo Soldier. Although, they're "We're Only Gonna Die" cover is pretty tight.

not a big pepper fan, but slightly stoopid is awsome. long beach dub allstars feature the drummer and bassist from sublime (i believe) and sound alot like them. and long beach shortbus feature the bassist from sublime, kinda sound like sublime except more rocky

Sublime is pretty chill music. Not a huge fan, but I usually put 'em on during the summer. What I Got is classic for cruising in mah hood.

Can't stand this band at all.

me likes punk

I like "Waiting For My Ruca" but not much else by them. I would like them more if they didn't have vocals.

I used to like them alot. still kinda like em. Most people have good opinions about them. But they are way overrated by the stoner crowd.

I'll agree that they can be way overrated, but they're one of those few bands that all of my friends and I can really get into. They're not real rap, punk, reggae, whatever, and I guess that's what makes them a little more universal.
I love'em.

I think a lot of 17-19 yr olds dig Sublime so much because they grew up listening to them as a kid in the 90s, when they liked simply good music like that.
They're also a solid band, mostly because how they blended so many different styles. The same success goes for a lot of the other powerhouse bands of the 90s, ie: The Chillie Peppers (rock n'funk) and Rage Against the Machine (rap n'rock).
