Is there a way I can play old nintendo games either online or downloaded legally?
I want to play the mario where everything was blueish.

Get an emulator and ROMS. I'll get a link in a second. But remember the golden rule that everyone follows:
DON'T DOWNLOAD IT UNLESS YOU ALREADY OWN IT.

I remember when I got an SNES emulator. Man was that awesome. Then I got Virtual Boy Advance and Advance Wars. I could not stop playing that game.

I had an emulator for Earthbound at my mom's house. Man the game rocks.

zsnes is my favourite. I'm thinking of buying a snes they sell them at pawnshops her for like 39.99 ...what a deal games are like 5 $ too. although I could just install the roms which is alot easier plus you can speed up emulation on them.

Emulator + Roms = Console and every game ever released for it, for free.
Buying a Snes = Hunting for one, hunting for any game for it, which are rare to find.
Emulation ftw.

Nobody cares, tbh
I think his statement was in satire to be honest.
Wasn't there a website where you could play a crapload of SNES and Genesis games through an emulator in Java?

Oh it's Game Oldies! They changed it so you have to register which sucks.

Even if they own it, its still illegal anyway.
Doesn't really matter though.

Get a Wii, then pay the 3-5 bucks to play the real game on a real console with a good controller.
Not to say Roms are bad, but the Wii will make it so much easier to get the nintendo and sega brand games.
