didnt know where to put this.

i want to sing. i write songs and play guitar. but i think my voice sucks. i was in choir when i was little but not anymore..
gonna be this year.

what can i do????? :(

Take lessons, or sing songs that dont require good singing, eg. The Ramones.

Hah. You just burned the Ramones. Then again, punk is more about the message than the beauty of the voice. Just not in the case of the Ramones. Anyway, my condolensces, lilwing. Welcome to the world of music. Most voices nowadays suck. *glares* SIMPLE PLAN.

there really isn't much you can do if your voice flat out sucks.

If it just isn't as good as you think it could be, then take lessons. Other then that, singing is really a talent you're kind of born with.

Rubbish. Anyone can learn to sing better than they do.

My singing was pretty below par and now it's "alright". I still need to improve a lot to get where I want to be with my voice, but I'm getting there.

Pull a Bob Dylan and write amazing songs that get covered by people who can sing without ever learning to sing that well yourself.

I can't sing for ****...I do anyway...

I believe that singing is a natural talent that you're born with, though it can be improved and developed. Still, I don't think you can develop your voice to 'outstanding'.

I suck at singing too. I'd say let the music do the talking, or just pull a 'Slipknot' and scream/shout...

play notes on a guitar or whatever and sing along to it. do scales and stuff. when you're good at that sing without playing your guitar.

Oh, I have two words for you. Jello Biafra. Nazally voice. People were all over him.

Everyone at one point thinks their voice sucks. For the most part your voice is base don confidence. Just don't think your voice sucks and 2/3 times it wont. I mean I thought my voice was horrid, yet look at me, I sing for a band and I get compliments on my voice quite often from people.
