I was searching through a few of the album-charts on Sputnik. Such as, the Top 10 Albums of each genre, and also the Highest Rated Albums ever on Sputnik.
And I was a bit surprised....
Many of the albums that rank as the Highest Rated Albums Ever on the site, have got, in some cases, a mere 5 or 10 votes, with the top 2 albums having only 4 votes :eek:
I remember, it used to be that the top albums each had upwards of almost 100 votes, with albums like Lateralus, Dark Side of the Moon, Nevermind and Led Zeppelin's "4" being the highest rated.
I think the feature should be changed such that an album cannot so much as enter the top rated albums list without recieveing a set minimum of votes(at the least 20 perhaps?)
This is just my idea, but I really think it is crucial.
This "shortcoming" is also prevalent on all the album charts, including the top 10 albums of each year for each of the individual genres.
