This is about my job and it's rather negative. But it does reflect my feelings re: how healthcare has changed. I try to sing a little like Gordon Lightfoot, If any one remembers him.
A Doctor's Lament
The Paitients used to be the primal reason
Of every sound medical decision.
It's not that way any longer.
Our power has been truly split asunder

What I thought mattered a lot
Now I'm a cog in a big wheel

Some days I find it hard to focus,

Decides what's best for everyone.

How much is not equvalent to need.
Insurance factors are the Holy Grail
When you run out you hit the dusty trail
It may seem kinda callous and hardcore,
But isn't that what public funds are for?
