Hey all,
My band is called Gone Savage. We are a prog influenced rock but we are not prog rock. Come by and give me feedback on the songs that i have posted. Any comments are appreciated. Also the beggining of Colours is a headphone leak effect, the actual song does not come in for 20 seconds...so dont be fooled.

We recorded in the drummers basement originally with some condenser mics we rented. However in the end we had to redo about half the guitars by doing direct recording through a pod because the room had poor acoustics which made the guitars sound muddy. All the tracks were mixed and effects were added in Fl 6 studio XXL. Glad you liked it.:)

I only listened to colours, but I really liked it, good stuff. The only thing is the vocals aren't really my kind of thing, but still nice. :thumb:

Guitars are awesome sounding. Drums however are a bit dull, quiet and muddy.

I really liked Colours, it was different from the everyday songs you hear. I also listened to the other songs, they were good but not as special as Colours.
The vocals are very simple for my taste, but at least they're in tune.
Keep up the good work.

To be honest, I didn't like it all that much at first. Sounded too polished or something- maybe too "flat" (as in not in reverb or something on the vocals- but maybe that was just my terrible headphones acting their price...) After a little bit, though, I was really digging it, especially the leads on "Things to Remember." Some of them sounded very Gilmour-ish to me. He happens to be my biggest influence on guitar, and so that was a major plus from me. However, though I really, really enjoyed alot of the effects that you guys did, I thought the chorus may have been a bit overdone (on the guitar, that is.) But maybe that sound is what you're looking for from your guitarist.
Also, the vocals throughout struck me as a bit mediocre, though they were pretty tolerable. Nothing that made me think "Make it stop!" or anything. Just sounded kind of average, but that doesn't always mean that the band is gonna suck or anything, as you guys show.
I really dug the rhythm section, as well.
Nicely done.

^^Thanks for the feedback. And yes it is a concensus with our singer and band that our vocals are the part of the band that need to improve the most. But at least he sings on key and doesn"t sound like the guy from fall out boy, that is all i ask. Anyway thanks for the feedback. If anybody else has suggestions or criticism. Post em up.
